UI Community HomeCare, (“UICHC”), a home infusion and medical equipment service provider affiliated with University of Iowa Health Care, recently announced a cybersecurity incident, which impacted the personal information of hundreds of thousands of individuals. In the incident, a cybercriminal hacker accessed the UIHC network and may have accessed records with personally identifiable information (“PII”), including names, address, phone number, date of birth, provider name, medical record number, visit type, date(s) of service, insurance information, and Social Security numbers.
