Joan Pyle graduated from Rutgers University where she double majored in Political Science and Criminal Justice. Throughout undergrad, she worked with Jumpstart which focused on teaching preschool students’ literacy. Joan then earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she also obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health. During law school, Joan was an active member of the Black Law Student Association, serving on its board, and competed in the Health Law Transactional Competition.
Before joining Lynch Carpenter, Joan gained invaluable experience through opportunities with Edgar Snyder & Associates and the Health Policy Institute. She began her career as a summer associate at Lynch Carpenter after her second year of law school and continued part-time work there while completing her final year of studies.
In addition to her legal work, Joan serves as a board member for the Greenwood Plan, an organization dedicated to promoting equity within underserved communities.
Outside of work, Joan enjoys spending time with her dog, Papi, and exploring new restaurants in her community.
