Patrick was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He attended Allegheny College where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He obtained his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and receiving the distinguished Order of the Coif honor.
While in law school, Patrick was a managing editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and was also a member of the school’s Mock Trial Team, where he and his teammate ultimately won the school’s Murray Love Mock Trial Competition. After his first year of law school, Patrick served as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York, where he gained valuable, hands-on experience in a variety of practice areas.
Patrick joined Lynch Carpenter as a summer associate in 2020 and began as an associate in 2021. His practice areas focus primarily on data privacy and consumer protection class actions. Since joining the firm, Patrick has become an instrumental member of Lynch Carpenter, playing an integral role in litigating complex matters in federal and state courts across the country, including in In re MOVEit Customer Data Security Breach Litig., MDL No. 3083 (D. Mass.) and In re: Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-Level Pap, and Mechanical Ventilator Products Liability Litig., MDL No. 3014 (W.D. Pa.), where he served on the law and briefing committee. He has been appointed to leadership positions in In re: Young Consulting Data Breach Litig., Case No. 1:24-cv-03938 (N.D. Ga.) (Interim Co-Lead Counsel); In re CDK Global Data Security Consumer Litig., Case No. 1:24-cv-05221 (N.D. Ill.) (Interim Co-Lead Subclass Counsel); and Hulewat v. Medical Management Resource Group LLC, Case No. 2:24-cv-00377 (D. Ariz.) (Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee Member).
Patrick lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Kelly. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, cooking, and watching his hometown Buffalo Bills.
