Chris was born and raised in Iowa and attended the University of Chicago, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and captained the university’s nationally-ranked mock trial team. He then pursued graduate study in history, and worked as a union organizer and an information technology business analyst before deciding to pursue a legal career.

Chris attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While at Pitt, he worked as an intern for the Pennsylvania Office of General Counsel and for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He also competed in the National Energy & Sustainability Moot Court Competition and was a semifinalist in Pitt Law’s annual appellate advocacy competition. He was a summer intern for Lynch Carpenter in 2021 and joined the firm after graduation to continue advocating for consumer protection and data privacy against entrenched corporate interests.

Chris lives in Evanston with his wife, Carolyn, and their dog, Chippy. He enjoys baseball, board games, cooking, and craft beer.
